The Winter W.O.W. hadn't run for a few years. It was always one of our favourites. We would lead a 100 or so people through the forest and then come back and stuff our faces in front of the fireplace at Mansfield. With memories of these good times still alive in our heads we brought the Winter W.O.W. back in 2003. It was a huge success and the past years were equally great. It's one big loop of the Mansfield Outdoor Centre and the Dufferin County Forest. Who knows what the conditions will be? It could be dry or it could be snowing. 2008 was EPIC!!!! A couple of inches of wet snow made for a tough but memorable day on the trails. November 2009 is a long way off so who knows what we'll have?!?
	We mark a gorgeous route in the single track of the Mansfield Outdoor Centre and the Dufferin County Forest. There's also some bush roads, and some seriously large hills here and there. We're going to generally use the same route as last year. The distance will be about 40 km. For people doing the tour there are several spots where you can bail out early if you want (ie. you don't have to ride the whole thing). It's a lot of work to mark, but you'll appreciate it. We run it come rain, or shine or snow, so make sure you're ready! Registration Includes - Fantastic Chili Lunch & drinks, plus feed stations & a souvenir toque for pre-registered riders. There are prizes for fastest racers and everyone eligible for Draw Prizes from our wonderful sponsors Help us out! Please pre-register!!! If you pre-register we can give everyone the Fantastic Chili Feed! Good food takes time. Everything is ordered in advance. Pre-registering helps us a lot.
WINTER W.O.W. SCHEDULE 8:00am -----Registration Open 10:00am ----Enduro Race - Mass Start In 2 Waves 10:15am ----Tour Start 12:30pm ----Chili Feed Opens 2:00pm ----- Awards & Draw Prizes. Chili Feed closes, so if you're turtle slow bring extra food!!! COURSE MAP GOOGLE MAP TO MANSFIELD OUTDOOR CENTRE	REGISTRATION - Enduro or Tour $47 until Monday Nov. 16th at 5pm. You can still register after Nov. 16th but the cost is $50 and you don't get a toque. There are no refunds based on the weather. Tour = Non-Competitive (out for the ride & not timed) Race = Riding as fast as you can for the whole 40km & getting a time for your performance. "Serious" racers compete often. "Not-So Serious" racers compete once in a while or this might even be your first race. Option 1 - I'm doing the 40KM tour or as much as I want! Option 2 - I'm racing! The categories have been updated - check out the registration form for the new category options. For race category prizes a minimum of 5 racers are needed per category.
